Tradition and Culture
The martial art is deeply rooted in practically all traditional cultures of the world. Today, the martial art forms originating from China are probably the best known and have undergone a relatively long process of transmission. This is because the traditional Chinese culture has been maintained over several millennia.
The wisdom, values and virtues conveyed by the martial arts are beneficial and inspiring for people of all ages and circumstances. They are not only limited to people who practice the external (physical) martial arts.
The following movie, produced by New Tang Dynasty Television, beautifully portrays the deep meaning of the traditional martial art. The honorable Grandmaster Li Youfu is the main protagonist of the film and shows insights into his life and wealth of experience. It also shows the grace of this noble art and the wisdom that a martial artist can achieve.
